POLICIES


PAYMENT POLICY -Full payment is required including sales tax at time of reservation.  All rates are subject to state and local taxes of 14.25%. 

PRIVATE LODGE EVENT  PAYMENT POLICY - A deposit of 50% to reserve and 50% due prior to check-in. All rates are subject to state and local taxes of 14.25%.  

BOOKING  POLICY - Our policy is group booking.  Individual billing is not available, arrange payments within your group and have your group leader make your reservation using our online reservation system.  Please make every effort to book your initial reservation as a complete group.  There is a $5 fee per guest to add guests to an existing booking.  

You may NOT book multiple cabins for groups of 8 or less.  Please use 1 cabin for groups of 8 or less to leave availability for other guests.  This policy allows us to offer Private Accommodations (not shared).  Charit Creek Lodge is a communal experience, with private accommodations for your group.  We are not set up nor able to operate by splitting your group across multiple cabins.  If a multi-cabin booking is made for 8 guest or less, we reserve the right to amend the booking to a single cabin.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Payments are non-refundable.  There are no exceptions to our cancellation policy. We are not responsible for the weather or weather-related conditions. Weather conditions do not change the terms of the cancellation policy. You must cancel your existing reservation before rescheduling a new one.

A Cancellation Fee will be charged if reservations are cancelled in 28 days or less from your reservation date.  Fees associated with Cancelling and Rescheduling are as follows:

  • Within 28 Days - 25% Fee of Pre-Tax Invoice

  • Within 7 Days - 50% of Pre-Tax Invoice

  • No Show Without Notification - Complete Forfeiture

You may Reschedule, although your stay must be rescheduled within 6 months of initial reservation date and completed within one year of your initial reservation date. A cancellation credit will be issued in the form of a gift certificate that expires 6 months from the original reservation date.

A cancellation is for an entire cabin. Individuals in your group that cannot attend do not count as a cancellation and will not receive cancellation credit.

NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND  - Gift Certificates, Cancellation Credits and Tax Exemptions must be used at time of booking.

A NOTE TO OUR GUESTS: 

Cancellations are difficult to manage due to many circumstances involved with operating Charit Creek Lodge.  Keep in mind we are an off-grid back country lodge, completely removed from the basic luxuries such as power,  water and waste removal provided by local municipalities.  Due to National Park Service efforts to preserve the natural and cultural landscape of Big South Fork, we have limited access and opportunity to procure, deliver and remove the necessary goods to operate the lodge. 

Most importantly, we have a limited number of cabins.  Cancellations without proper notice prevent us from being able to rebook these cabins, severely reducing our available inventory.  Charit Creek Lodge is a special place and a one of a kind experience that requires unique policies to retain the level of amenities, service and delicious food that we provide.  Thank you for your support!


FOOD

Vegetarian and gluten free (+$25/per day) meals are available upon request. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any other dietary restrictions. Due to insurance regulations and health standards, we are not allowed to bring food into the kitchen that are not part of our current supply chain.

  • Dinner is served family style at 6 p.m. EASTERN TIME - Breakfast is served family style at 8 a.m. EASTERN TIME

  • Please be punctual for serving time! You may NOT schedule a personal meal time. Kitchen closes 1 hour after serving time. Schedule your needed travel & hike time accordingly (minimum of 30 minutes hiking from CCL parking).
